I was recently sent a Mailables card and I must say, it is super cute! Mailables are the craft you can send – so fun for kids and adults! It’s a great new take on the standard greeting card and perfect for grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. It’s such a personal way for kids to send a card to someone special – and it’s an even better way for that someone special to get to display that card!
Currently Mailables come for Birthdays only, but they are working to make Mailables for all seasons and occasions. You simply color and customize your Mailable and mail it with the custom envelope which is included. The receiver can then assemble and enjoy this special artwork!
These cards are also perfect for group activities and can keep little hands busy for awhile – which I know is great for busy parents who need a few minutes to themselves to get something accomplished! While Cohen is not quite old enough to color yet, I’m excited to be able to use these for the future! I think it’ll be a perfect way to help blossom his creative, while also keeping him busy for a few minutes. Plus, what grandparent doesn’t love a personal creation from his/her grandchild?! This saves you from having to fold up the newest coloring page or splatter paint creation into a card!
Mailables has been generous enough to offer my readers a 25% discount off your entire order through September 30, 2011. Just visit www.mymailables.com and use the code PRACTICAL during checkout.
We’re giving away one of these unique cards to a random Facebook fan come August 26th as well. All you have to do is like The Practical Mom on Facebook and you’re entered. Even if you don’t want this item you’ll be increasing your odds for future giveaways if you stop by and give us some Facebook love.
If you’ve used Mailables before I’d love to hear what you think about them! Did your child love them?
